Lagoon reflections
Many masks carry mirrors and most of these know just how to tilt it so you see their reflection and capture it. Sort of a two for one. This, for me, adds an interesting depth to the image especially when the eyes are visible. Many masks have told me that they don't feel like the same person when they are in costume. Certainly the masks I have met in and out of costume feel like quite different people (because they LOOK totally different?).

I find that to be the time when a mask is suffused with life. Masks, I know, are masks, they don't change expressions. But they do.
