I guess you are right. I think we passed Lamar valley before we got here but I didn't notice and thought it was still in the valley.

Hey there,
Don't get me wrong this is a beautiful picture, but by no means is this picture of the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park like you are stating. This picture was taken at the junction of highways 296 and 212 near the Beartooth Mts. The picture is actually taken on the pull out just a little bit above the junction. Actually, your picture does a fine job of showing the junction that I am talking about. Illustrating that the highway running east to west is the Beartooth Highway and the one that curves towards the bottom corner of your picture is the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway. Overall the picture is awesome. I just thought that I would inform you that it is not the Lamar Valley.
