Summer 2000 ???? Fred Parsons

Pleasant Lake

Elkins, NH

Took this image several years ago. It is a double exposure for sky and rocks. Had decided there would be no sunset, so put all my gear away and started walking back to the car. Just then the alpenglow filled the whole area and I turned around to see the view. Rushed back and set up again in time to bracket the shots. The exact spot on the lake is the at the public beach which is just out of site to the left.

Canon EOS Elan IIe ,17-38 Sigma,Fujichrome Velvia
Guessing at film - slide film of some kind full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Wonderful hue, Fred!!! Sensible guess of film as only Velvia has that contrast and saturation.

Yeah, remember film? I had to shoot a series of slides and the scan in each with the film scanner and go from there. But printing color in the darkroom was far worse. Work for three hours on one image, only to find out the next morning when the print dried - that the filter pack in the enlarger was wrong and the color was off.
