Remembering Reagan

Goat Island, ME view map

This image was made the week Ronald Reagan died. A week later I was viewing the print and the sunset in this image reminded me of the sunset we saw on TV at his burial sight in California. Sunsets on each coast of a country he loved so very much. We are grateful to him in his efforts to keep our country a place where we can view such beauty in relative saftey and freedom.

this is stunning Fred. I remembe that sunset as well. Sent chills down my spine and tears in my eyes. You were at the right place at the right time

Chris: I guess I choose to say how I feel about a picture vs political correctness. Obviously there are those who cannot enjoy the image because of this, and that is THEIR choice.

this is a wonderful photo, but I wonder if it needed to be politicised...in any case, you ought to change the title if only because reagan's name is misspelled.

Beautiful pics of New England, the best part of this country. However , you need to realize that Reagan was one of the worst Presidents of the U.S. for not only cutting important social and educational programs, but also the millions of people displaced, murdered and imprisoned in his Cenrtal American policies. There are plenty of resources to prove this for yourself.

HI Fred
This is very beautiful. The reflection of the house on the water and the semi-transparent sky add inviting details to the shot.

Thanks - I have also printed this as a "panno" by cropping off the rocks making the bottom about 40% of the way up from what you see here. It works well too.
