I couldn't even get fluid out the anti dive valve when squeezing on the brakes. Go figure.

I believe the reason you did not get any fluid out of the antidive when squeezing the lever or stepping on the pedal is it is only actuated by the secondary master cylinder on the left fork leg. This actuated while the wheel is moving forward, brakes aplied, moves piston from actuator arm into secondary master cylinder and forcing fluid to antidive and other caliper pistons not covered by other means. Good pictures right in the manual.
