 |
| Here is a view of the speaker in it's pouch
 | This is what the speaker looks like taken out of the removable pouch
 | This is the passengars set with wind sock
 | The instructions provided help with installation
 |
| Two new HJC AC-3 ready for installation
 | Standard installtion may differ as your helmets may have more room for the boom mic and less for the speakers
 | The ear pocket is very generous on this helmet.
 | Ear pocket removed from HJC helmet. Your helmet may not have as much room as these do, so your installation may vary
 |
| Here is a closer look at the zip tie head on the end of the helmet connector
 | The first step is to get a zip tie through the under side of the chin strap retainer
 | The smooth side of the zip tie should be facing the helmet shell
 | Once you get the tie wrap through the mount, you pull it all the way tight, and leave the tail on
 |
| You then thread the tail of the zip tie through the head of the zip tie on the headset connector as shown
 | Here is the headset connector slid up onto the tail and in place
 | I tried installing the mic on the inside of the ear cup, but it was too large to fit there. Your helmets may have more space.
 | I then decieded that I would install the booms onto the outer casing of the helmet, again your installation may vary
 |
| I simply used hot melt glue to attach a 3M Dual Lock fastener to the boom, and the other side of the Dual Lock to the helmet
 | I then had to make some spacers out of foam for the speakers so they didn't sit back too far into the ear cups.
 | Inserting foam spacer into helmet. Your helmet may not need these depending on how much space they have for the speakers
 | Here is the foam spacer installed. Again, your helmets may not need this.
 |
| I put hot melt glue onto the back of the a velcro pad so it would stick to the foam
 | On production units, an industrial velcro is supplied with the kit. I just used the hot glue as a precaution
 | Here is the spacer with velcro in place
 | And finally, the speakers in place inside the helmet
 |
| I routed the wire around the rear of the helmet under the liner
 | Here is a photo of both helmets with headsets installed.
