This is magnificent. The way she's posed with her shoulders drawn in seems to emphasise the suggestion that she's emerging from the red top, almost like a flower. The rich tones of her dress and lips, combined with the warm tones of her skin, really stand out against the dark but light-textured background. I also like the way her eyes are looking off to the side and up; it seems to draw the viewer's eye up from her dress, into her face, then send it off into the lit area in the upper right.
