This is a image I took with film years ago and used as a calendar image
I did a test shot to see if there was a difference when using a tripod
as to whether to use Image Stabilization or not.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II ,Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
1/60 sec. f5.6 50mm ISO 100 flash with homemade diffuser. full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Both are almost identical. It's hard to tell if the IS with the tripod really hurts the image.

My camera instructions say to turn IS off when using a tripod - I must try a similar test.
