The Black Falls

Svartefoss - Skaftafell National Park, Iceland

Svartifoss (meaning Black Fall) is a waterfall in Skaftafell National Park in Iceland. It is surrounded by overhanging hexagonal black basalt lava columns, which gave rise to its name. A hidden gem in Iceland, and well worth the 2 hour hike to reach.
