Reynisdrangar Sea Stacks, Vik - Southern Iceland

These iconic black basalt sea stacks of are located in the southern Icelandic township of Vik.

Legend says that the Reynisdrangar stacks originated when two trolls dragged a three-masted ship to land unsuccessfully and when daylight broke they became needles of rock.

If its not troll is giants chucking boulders, I sometimes think we are being had on with geology lark! It is a super composition and really sharp.

The visibility was down to 10 metres when we were there..... Glad you got clear day to capture this fantastic beach.
