Day 5 was definitely the highlight of our trip. With the help of the lady that ran the accommodation where we stayed the previous night, we had hired a fishing boat to take us to the small uninhabited island Grimsey (no, not the one that lies across the arctic circle) outside of Drangnes. We dubbed the island "Puffin Island". Our skipper dropped us off for two hours and we spent the time watching, admiring, and photographing the birds, mainly the puffins that were literally all over the place. Wow!
After this wonderful experience, we started heading back South. Route 608 was a short, but painful part of our way ... the worst "road" we'd been on, with the exception of the track down to see the seals the day before.
