Part of the problem of food photography is that I am usually hungry and just want to eat it. Here's the yummy salad that we had with dinner tonight. I edited the harsh shadows in the bottom right a bit, but now it seems as if I have pasted the plate onto the background and I haven't.

Here's my alternate for today ... clearly my PAD at the moment is more about learning stuff in PS than taking good photos. This one had a gradient layer applied with the rainbow gradient (at 50% opacity) and then a brightness/contrast adjustment layer with vivid light. Doesn't look much like a photo anymore, but much more interesting than the original and I've learned to use gradient layers. Maybe next time I use them on a good photo I'll be more subtle with it ;)
