Why don't the hummingbirds ever come out 'en masse' when the weather is actually suitable for photography? Hurricane Charlie's raining on us, plus I used the slow telephoto lens with an all manual teleconverter so I ended up with a shutterspeed of 1/60 and ISO of about 800 or so. Must try this again when it's sunny. I'm still excited about the hummingbirds, though. There's a pair of them, flying all over the garden, and almost every day. Today they were more active then ever. After 4 years of (admittedly sporadic) feeding they've finally found our garden :)

For comparison, here's the same hummingbird when he's (she's ?) not all huffed up.
