We had this ugly rusty "thing" in the garden and knew it was buried in concrete ... so it took us a couple of years to work up the courage to try and dig it out. But, this was the chosen site of the new vegetable garden so it had to go. It was HEAVY! And they used enough concrete to anchor this thing in the ground forever :)
