Tower Silo

A common sight in NW OHIO, these silos were constructed of glazed masonry blocks with assembled steel tops. Few are still in use and many have had their tops removed for salvage.

The tower silo was invented by Franklin Hiram King, professor of agricultural physics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison from 1888 until 1902. Source: Wikipedia
