LOL..yes, I use a tripod and aperture priority. I meter using AF area, meaning, wherever I'm focusing on, that is also where I take a reading from, though I almost always expose for the highlights. So, in some cases, the highlight may not be where I want my primary focus and then I'll use exposure lock so I can then focus elsewhere :).

I'm sooo impressed with your photos - can I ask you if you use a tripod for most of the work? The photos are so clear.
I'm so excited because I'm a newbie and just got my coolpix 5700.
