You have a real gift for photography. I would say that Vancouver is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in the world but the city itself, namely it's architecture, is rather average in North American terms. Also, the excellent photo of the "Asian Garden" is more precisely the Nitobe Memorial Graden, a Japanese garden in all respects.

I used to live in Burnaby for 6 years(1994~ 2000).
I am glad to hear that you really like there. "My wife thought Vancouver is boring."
(That' s why we moved back.)
I 've missed everything there in Vancouver. (eg, the honey mushroom burger they served in Granville Island, ICE Mocha that Eric delivered in Yale Town - "Don't show the elephant " , enjoyed eating delicious breakfast in Deep Cove, Jogging in Stanley Park on Sat morning, and firework competiton in English Bay... etc.. ) If I ever get another chance to live in Vancouver, I am preparing to take whatever it takes to live there. Like what you are doing now.

And I will live there for the rest of my life for sure. However, like I indicated in the previous post, finding a job is not that easy and not mentioning we have communication barrier. Most of my friends are all moved back to Taiwan or H.K. Only one or two still survived.

Anyway, nice to meet you on Pbase. The internet is really incredible coz it really connects people. Please keep up your work and I will come back to see more.

Yes Vancouver is a nice place to live and people there are friendly. But for new comers to Canada, u got to involve with local community as deep as possible. Otherwise you will get bored and sick very easily.

You're such a lucky person to live in Vancouver! I live in Amsterdam myself, I've visited Vancouver on three different occasions over the last 5 years and I truly love the city! It easily paved it's way to my heart and I look forward to get back as soon as possible! I like the Stawamus Chief images you're sharing here.
