On our way up the Adriatic Sea to Dubrovnik we stopped at "Our Lady of the Rocks", a tiny spec in the Bay of Kotor. The man-made islet was created by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks, and by sailors dropping rocks until the islet emerged from the sea. We continued the custom by bringing along a rock to leave behind. A Roman Catholic church is the only building on the islet.
