These eight birds are part of a flock of some 18,000 Sandhill Cranes that spend each winter at Whitewater Draw near Bisbee, Arizona. They leave their sanctuary each morning at dawn for nearby grains and other farmed crops, and return in the afternoon. The skies are full of V-shapped formations and constant chattering.
