St. Peter Claver Church - Easter Sunday

West Hartford, Connecticut, USA

Happy Easter!

Saint Peter Claver, S.J., (Spanish: San Pedro Claver St. Peter Claver Corbò) (26 June 1581–8 September 1654) was a Spanish Jesuit priest and missionary born in Verdú (Catalonia) who, due to his life and work, became the patron saint of slaves, the Republic of Colombia and ministry to African Americans. Source: Wikipedia

This building is essentially square (the Chapel behind the altar is a recent addition) with the pews and aisles set diagonally. The interior design is intended to represent the hold of a slave ship.
