Delta Ponds Resident
The pond turtle lives and nests in Delta Ponds. We often see then sunning themselves on logs. I think this is a handsome one!
The P600 did a pretty good job of pulling it in.

Lunch for Three in a Beautiful Setting
I occasionally get a shot of one insect on a flower, but this is the first time I got three! The white spider is sort of pretty. :) The wild roses are in beautiful form!

Miko and Molly
Miko (Pekinese/Chihuahua mix) and Molly (Poodle) are Carol's pride and joy. They certainly keep us entertained.
I was able to catch them here alert and attentive. They usually are either asleep or too busy to sit still.

Anniversary Day 2014
Carol and I enjoyed our 53rd wedding anniversary today. Since neither of us was feeling that great, we enjoyed each other's company at home. I was able to go out and get lunch for us. I shot our self-portrait in our backyard using the moveable monitor screen and the self-timer on the P600.

Cardiac Rehab
Cardiac Rehab was finally approved by my insurance company. So I went today and had a good workout. Of course, Carol had to take my picture.

Getting a Handle on It!
I saw this pitcher in a vintage store window and thought it was quite interesting. I had never seen one quite like that. Quite a handle!

Bird in the Bush!
This White Crowned Sparrow perched in the neighbor's hedge bordering our yard. He gave me time to open the door and make a few exposures. We sure enjoy the birds visiting our feeder.

Rhododendron Blossom, Up Close
A while back I bought the Nikkor AF-S 40mm f/2.8G DX Micro lens to use on my V2 with FT=1 adapter. I gave it a workout today shooting some of our rhodies, and it performed marvelously, a sharp lens.

Oregon Green
Western Oregon is usually green year round, if we get the usual rains. There have been times when we have suffered with dry heat, which I can do without. This what our hills most often look like, lush and green like the Coburg Hills in this scene.
The shot was taken from the Jerry's Home Improvement Center parking lot.

Giving Myself a Hand
I had to kill time waiting for Carol to pick up meds at Walgreens. She did the driving, so I was on the passenger side. This made the shot more difficult than you think. In order to do it, I had to go through contortions with my left hand (I am right handed) to get a finger on the shutter button and still hold the camera to get the composition I wanted. I am not so well coordinated with my left hand.
I know, it's corny, but I like it! :)
