Pond Turtle
I would like to introduce you to one of the residents of Delta Ponds, a pond turtle. Sorry, I didn't get the name, forgot to ask! :)
Shot in DX mode and then cropped.

Abstract Waters
The patterns in the waters, surrounding this boat dock in Dexter Lake, made an interesting abstract as they were stirred by the breeze. I thought it made a pretty scene.

Sunrise From Kelly Butte
Kelly Butte is a small hill in Springfield. It is the best place for me to go to view the sunrise. Down below you can see a fog bank.

Captivating Camellia
I am so impressed with the lovely red of this camellia. 'Red delicious' came to mind. :)

Through The Looking Glass
While waiting for my wife at the doctor's office, I watched the fish in an aquarium. The glass was thick and not totally clean. Since I had my little V1 with me, naturally I ended up shooting a few pictures. Because of the dirty glass some sharpness was lost but I still liked this result.

Squirrel Challenge
This little guy thought I was getting too close and so took a defensive stance. I backed off......after I got the shot. :)

Song Sparrow
This was a somewhat difficult shot, being a dark morning and a dark bird. I had to run the ISO much higher than I wanted to with this camera. Still, it turned out ok.

Doing Laundry Is No Holiday!
Early morning at Holiday Coin Laundromat, Springfield, OR.
This was truly a shot in the dark!

Modern-Day Sunrise
Whenever I see what looks like a pretty sunrise I have to jump in the car and head for the nearest place to view it. Unfortunately, the spot has the International Paper Company mill in the foreground. Since this is one of Springfield's largest employers, it is part of the landscape. This morning's sunrise shows more than one sign of modern-day civilization.

Delightful Daffodil (Narcissus)
Spring has got to be on the way. The daffodils are blooming, like this one in Alton Baker Park
(And then there is the sure sign of spring, we move our clocks ahead this Sunday). :)

Dexter Lake
Dexter Lake is a manmade lake, or reservoir, behind Dexter Dam. The small city of Lowell sits along the lake.
We took advantage of an infrequent sunny day to capture the blue sky and white clouds.
This is the upper part of Dexter Lake, below Lookout Point Dam. The bigger part of the lake is behind me as I stood on the road crossing the lake.
