Just Being Neighborly?

I am trying to decide whether this turtle is just engaged in some neighborly talk, or whether it is registering a complaint. What do you think? Another scene from Delta Ponds.

Vern, when I was in Portugal I saw a pond with lots of turtles and they occupied places where no ducks were allowed. So be shure this is complaint.

Not the friendliest of turtles, but a very nice shot of him confronting the lovely Mallard!

I vote for "complaint". Well captured Vern.

It seems there is only room for three turtles, but the Mallard does not seem to know.

Pretty sure it's telling the duck to find it's own resting spot, well caught.
Laura Milholland04-Nov-2016 03:57
I think he's telling the third turtle to bite the duck's backside! ;) Very fun and well timed shot, Vern.
Eloine 04-Nov-2016 03:10

likely a strong claim for personal space, and the mallard drake seems to take note...certainly an engaging encounter well caught..

Not sure about that, but it's a fantastic capture. Well detailed. V
