As I approached a bridge at Delta Ponds, a Great Egret jumped from one railing to the other, right there in front of me! Fortunately, I was quick to react and caught it in the act. Too often, I am a day late and a dollar short! :) From there, the heron took another jump to the water below the bridge. I watched it there as it caught some fish. I will post one of those at another time.
