Hey, Watch Your Beak!

Oops, I was corrected (thanks to Jim and Mats)! I was thinking that this is a group of Greater Yellowlegs, but they are Long-billed Dowitchers, seen at Delta Ponds. Those long bills are good for digging out bugs and other food along the shoreline. But it seems they would always be getting in the way! :)

What’s in a name, Vern, it is the image which counts to the viewer and this is a superb capture of the birds; plenty of detail against an excellent backdrop – just love it.
