Pigeons, ducks and geese are plentiful along the waterway at Alton Baker Park. This Rock Pigeon, seemed to be so sure if itself, all decked out in such beautiful colors. I found this information about Rock Pigeons: http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Rock_Pigeon/id
"Color Pattern - Variable in color, but most birds are bluish gray with two black bands on the wing and a black tip to the tail. Most birds have iridescent throat feathers. Wing patterns may include two bars, dark spots, or can be plain. The tail is usually dark tipped."
I am continually in awe of the beauty and design found everywhere in nature. We humans can only copy such superior design. To me it is evidence of superior wisdom.
