Our First Rhody to Bloom!

This rhododendron blooms early each February. Since it has been so warm here this winter, the rhody began having buds in January, and was filled with blossoms in February. But then we had a couple frosty mornings and it ruined all of the blossoms. Much to my surprise, the rhody now has new blossoms coming out! They sure stand out from the wilted discolored old ones. This is one of the new blossoms.
(I should have used a bit smaller aperture. :)

Where did the water droplets come from? We haven't had rain at least in our part of Eugene. Is it morning dew perhaps? Beautiful color. Love the early bloomers. We have had an extremely mild winter but many grey days. Color and sunshine is good for what ails you.
