Lesser Goldfinch

I saw these beautiful yellow birds at Delta Ponds. I thought they were American Goldfinch. (Thanks for the info, Laura) I think I have seen them only once before. They were at water's edge. I was fortunate that I was able to spot them get a few shots. Small birds are difficult for me now.

These birds are a regular at our feeders, it is so nice to see the splash of yellow as they flit around the feeders and trees.

Cute goldfinches. They would be easier to spot when in their breeding colors, they turn very bright yellow.
