Red-tailed Hawk High in a Tree

This hawk (probably red-tailed) was sitting in a tall tree and occasionally calling. That's how I noticed it. The image from 300mm (810mm 35mm EFOV) is cropped 50% and still sharp as a tack to my eyes anyway. I am always thrilled to get a shot of one of these birds of prey.

We have a lot of those around now too and making a lot of noise. It turns out they are leaving the nest now so they are calling back and forth to each other as they are perfecting their flight ability.
