Not A Snake In The Grass!

This Red-shafted Northern Flicker in Alton Baker Park was so busy looking for food in the grass that it didn't even notice me. I watched it for a bit and got a few photos.

They are such very pretty birds, and this is a marvelous shot of him, Vern. BTW - the red "mustache" tells us it's a male. :)
