Beauty In The Forest

I was struck by the beauty of the decaying stump, surrounding by trees that will benefit from the nourishment it will leave behind. This is why I love the forests so much. life is passed on and nourished, and the beauty continues. I enjoy and appreciate all the wonderful works of Creation. It's when we humans interfere that the beauty is disrupted.

I'm reminded of the trees in the Olympic Rain-forest that lives off the dead and decaying trees, there are names for them, but I've forgotten them....
