European Starling

European Starlings are pretty birds, but become plentiful and take food that is needed by native birds.

I presume that having the D3 in DX mode give you the 1.5x equivalent focal length multiplier. Interesting, I had not thought about that! Pretty decent shot of this colorful little bird.

They always look black from a distance but their feathers do have a bluish color to them that you pic captured. Looks like it was cold or drying out from a rain?
