The Street Going Under City Hall

This street goes right under the Springfield City Hall and Library. Transit buses used to park on the right, sometime back before a nice modern transit station was built.

This is really an awesome shot, I like the perspective and the exposure is perfect! The garage for my Kaiser doctor in Hollywood is so low that I think the Toyota truck just barely clears the top. It really gives me the willies!

Outstanding, really like the lighting here, I remember riding the bus there as a kid, now I drive! ~V~

Pow! I like how the eye is now drawn immediately into the tunnel!

Nice light, reminds of something from a TV series.

I know this spot well.

I was rolling north through on 6th Street under the City Hall when a driver burst out of the parking area, hit me, knocked me off my bike and crushed my front wheel. Got his name and he quickly moved off. I walked to the wonderful Springfield Police (less than a block). I was on a bicycle - they refused to take an accident report... even though I had right of way and it was a technical hit and run. Guy who hit me later refused to pay for even so much as the wheel... and with no help from the wonderful oh so helpful Springfield PD, I was SOL. So - this is what I remember most when I think of Springfield, Oregon... which it to say - NOT MUCH!

I wonder what the clearance is in that garage?

You must have tall cars there , Vern :)
