Momma Bald Eagle Flew The Coop

I think the mother eagle may choose to leave the nest more often. The baby eagles are getting pretty big. They are no longer fuzzy and have their feathers. Image was cropped.

Nice catch Vern! The D7000 is up to task with birds I see.

I hope you are submitting this one to like the Nature Conservatory or National Geographic. What an amazing shot of a very rare scene. Thanks, Vern.

This is a wonderful picture, even heavily cropped! We saw an eagle on Sunday, flying up the river where I was holding the mother and daughter photo shoot. I didn't attempt to photograph the eagle, as I would not have been able to change lenses fast enough to capture the eagle in flight.

What a great catch, looks like they may have to leave home soon, things are a little crowded.

Knowing how far away you've said in the past you are from this nest, and looking at how much nice sharp detail this has, I think the extra resolution of the D7000 really makes a big difference! Oh, and she sure is a lovely bird!

This is an awesome shot, Vern. How cool that you get to see these birds in person to take this shot.
