Great shot. I like the color version best, I think it's because the red tones in the woods come out as grays in the black and white. I wonder what the black and white would look like with very high contrast?

The fencing looks new, in the UK we would know that the 'Health & Safety Officer' had been around. :-) Nice picture, it has depth and guides the eye well into the scene.
