Eagle or Hawk? I am leaning toward eagle.

I think this is an eagle but am not sure. The coloring is a bit different than what I am used to. Could it be a golden eagle? Also, I was sent some pictures of a ferruginous hawk that looked something like this. It looks an awful lot like the young bald eagles I saw on Skinner Butte.

Sure looks like a young eaglet to me, it's nostrel hole is more in the middle of it's beak. That hawk's nostrel hole is in more towards it's face. Here is a picture I took of the skinner butte eaglet:http://www.pbase.com/jsb_photographs/image/126055053/original Not sure, but I think it looks more like an eagle, great shot vern what ever it is!

I believe that may well be a Ferruginous Hawk Vern. They are almost as large as an Eagle and have an eagle-like beak. Bodies are usually a brownish rust color. They are often mistaken for eagles. A close up of one can be seen at http://parrothouse.zenfolio.com/p434741978/e1a788101

DEFINITELY an eagle, but not too immature actually... Are you sure it's not a female...? Females have less plummage and color...

Looks like either an immature Bald or a Golden Vern. But definitely an eagle.
