What year would this date back to? Somewhere is the 1920 era I expect.

I believe the lugs are simply for traction with the metal wheels, since they weren't using rubber tires with lugs.

These kind of tractors with spiked steel wheels I have never seen overhere. Are they used for a special purpose? I'm sure Jack will know ;-)
