My Trip on Old McKenzie Hwy 242

I traveled Scenic Old McKenzie Highway #242 to the top of the pass and the lava beds. It is a beautiful drive. The Cascade mountains are a sight to behold, and one can sometimes see more of them than I saw this time. I did get the North and Middle Sisters, Mt. Washington and Broken Top (I think it was), plus a couple others I don't know. It is a great drive and Hwy 242 is designated as a Oregon Scenic Byway. It’s a very winding and narrow road, but well worth the trip. You will see that it is a very photogenic area, one that you would really enjoy traveling now. One the memories of a lifetime, a drive on 242 to Black Butte Ranch in a no top tiny porsche through hugh glorious country.

This is a fabulous album, Vern. The scenery really is unusual and very beautiful. I particularly loved the shots of the Sisters Mountains. They are gorgeous! Great gallery. Donna in TX
