Those birds must be hearty at that elevation. Where we are now here in Idaho is about 2800 ft. & it's been too cold for me!

Well Vern, you've captured Red Crossbills here. If you note their interesting beaks you'll see that it enables them to open pine cones - they pry it apart with their offset beak and grab the seed with their tongue.

No matter how many times I counted, I could come up with only 34 bird feet...How the heck did you count 5325 feet??? Too much cold-weather mulled wine??? I REALLY enjoy the "Angel-wings" image.....
