Some images from my visit to Corvallis, Oregon with a few added shots of the historic building in Philomath. Among the images of Corvallis are some of the Benton County Courthouse the oldest working courthouse west of the Mississippi. It was build in 1888. Corvallis is the home of Oregon State University, which was established in 1868. It is a beautiful small city with a population of 54,890. Ten minutes west of Corvallis is Philomath. Philomath College was founded in 1867 by the United Brethren Church. The city was incorporated in 1882, and the college later closed in 1929. It is now a museum and a lovely building. More information about Philomath - http://www.ci.philomath.or.us/
