My tribute to 'The Hill'

A small hill in Springfield, OR has been a nice natural area within the city. Deer and various birds, including eagles, shared the forest on the hill. Now it is being developed and soon homes will fill up the hill. New streets have been constructed and work is in progress. I took one more hike around the hill to record some of the natural beauty before it is gone.

I loved going up there to pick apples or blackberries, and especially to just enjoy the view! You know we sold that beautiful house and moved, right? Otherwise, I would have loved for you to have stopped in!

Well documented Vern. In todays economy, you have to wonder if its prudent to build more. Reminds me of many spots/hills in Montana. Linda S

It's all a bit sad Vern, and there's no stopping so called "progress". Makes you wonder if people really do care about the vanishing environment.
