The small town Karlsborg at the west shore of the Swedish lake Vättern was the end-point of the railway Skövde -- Karlsborg. The last regular passenger train ran 1986-05-31. The freight train traffic to Karlsborg ceased gradually in the following years, and was finally finished in the year of 2003. The b-w images was shot in Karlsborg during late winter and spring 1986th. In the summer of 2012, I made a return trip to a place that clearly have changed.
