After the Rain at the Bar

Captured outside the bar window, with the colored lights glowing softly
through the rain-streaked panes. The condensation on the glass adds
mystery, making the tourist couple feel slightly hidden yet intimate.
And the red window frames create a rich, atmospheric composition.

Absolutely magical! After the rain brings such a cozy, intimate atmosphere at the bar. Those raindrops gently sliding down the fogged-up window, while inside two friends bundled in coats and sweaters raise their glasses in lively conversation... pure warmth against the chill outside. The soft colored lights and red frames make it feel like a scene from a movie. Truely beautiful! V

When it rains, it pours—especially in the tropics. She walked past a bar; without hesitation, she pushed open the door and stepped inside. She settled onto a stool by the window and ordered a drink, wiping the rain from her hair and shoulders. He emerged from the restroom and returned to his seat. She turned around; he pointed to his half-full glass, sitting next to hers. She asked if the seat was taken. He shook his head, gesturing for her to stay. It was December 28th, and the bar was deserted. People, having barely recovered from the long festivities of the 24th and 25th, were trying to recuperate before New Year's Eve. Both were tourists; they struck up a conversation, discussing everything from the weather to the pleasure of tasting Singaporean cuisine. The next day would be their last—what a coincidence. The scene was magnificent from the outside, so much so that a photographer captured the moment without them realizing it. Raindrops streaking down the windowpane mingled with the reflections and colorful lights from within. A scene imbued with romance. The rain was letting up. No one paid it any mind. Let it rain. Strangers in the night. ~VVVVV++~

What could be more pleasant than a moment of refuge and conversation at the bar during a winter rain ? Especially when the lighting atmosphere and decoration are part of it. The glasses are still full but they may not be the first... the gentle tilt of the image could suggest it... Excellent image of this delightful moment of intimacy and sharing, Fong. V.
