A Journey To Freedom

I have previously done an informal collection of images which was captured during my visits to Cambodia and Vietnam in The Untold Stories Gallery. In this gallery, I present you a series of story telling images of the Mynmar refugees in Malaysia. I am just here to promote awareness and share my personal experience. Yes, there are so many of them and we cannot help everyone but I feel at least we can try and make an effort, that counts. I hope I am able to compile real life stories in picture form to share with you their lives. Note video clips and relevant web links have been added on to enable you to understand more about the real situation. As defined, a refugee is a person who, owing to a well-founded fear of being prosecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside of his nationality is unable or, owing to such fear, unwilling to avail himself of the protection of the country. 1951 Conventional Relating to the status of Refugees, Article a(A)(2). The refugees are at risk and needs protection. Sad to say it's a difficult journey to freedom for them.
