This is just a little introduction of the refugees in Malaysia. Enclosed are a few video clips which can be found in the internet which I have embeded in this gallery for your easy reference and knowledge. You will also find web-links which will explain further in details of the current state of these refugees and why there is a call for protection. I am just documenting a story telling series of their lives and hope you will have a better awareness and insight of them struggling for their freedom.
Vidoe clips as documented by our local TV station -

Simplicity
There are quite a number of children but like a typical growing up child is filled with joy and happiness. It's such a wonderful feeling just seeing them smile or even try to make them laugh. I drew a happy face to resemble my own and asked one of them to do the same. He drew a happy face, which I suppose to resemble his feelings. Soon the entire group crowded around me to take turns to draw one too. The feeling is precious and memorable just feeling loved. At least for me they were true from the heart and unpretentious and pure.
Ten Little Indian Boys
The typical counting children song. We requested a song from them and they sang. So sweet and how clever they are. Remember English is not their national language.
Time Of Sharing
They had fun with the I-Phone. Like a book but an electronic one which one could flip pictures on it......it worked well until too many fingers tried on it and `hung'. :D
Under One Roof, One family
I believe the links attached has spoken out their cries. I need not have to repeat or elaborate further their despair. Instead I hope to record down beautiful memories of them to keep.
Innocence
Not only without a home, some of these children also have medical issues. If we only thank God for our blessings and be contented with what we have and not to always complain.
Everyone Is Special
I wish I could tell more stories but I will wait until it's the right time to share. It's protection which I am concerned.
Wondering Stranger
He is a very interesting boy. In every picture that I took, I never saw him smile. I wonder why? He always had this look on his face but if I look close into his eyes, I believe you and I know the reason.
He is probably wondering, who are these people? Why am I here? What's happening?
Biding Good-bye
It was a short and sweet visit. We didn't do much but to get to know them better. I only wished I could take them home with me, or at least the kids to share a life with mine. If only I could I would take them to the parks...for now I can do is to spare my time for them to remember me as somebody special who has touched their lives. Yes their Angel........
More stories/pictures will be added on as time and opportunity permits.
There is a need ..... if we only reach out to help them look for their freedom and reach their dreams of having a normal life like you and me.
A Journey To Freedom
Everyone has the right to seek and enjoy in other countries asylum for protection. Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 14(1).
