I think this is one of your best portrait shots, even the great b&w treatment cannot disguise how colourful her clothes were. I also like her expression, seasoned by harsh conditions, but still gentle enough to have the hit of the smile! V

A very expressive portrait, Tricia -- the texture of her scarf and clothes match the texture of skin. By draining the image of color, you call attention to that texture, which is the by product of exquisitely soft light. You have also found an expression that tells us how she feels -- I think she is pleased and honored by your presence. Who is "Pretty Petals" -- is that your "pen name."
