The Flying Orange

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture, in which performers mimic the lion's movements in a cloak of lion costume. This is performed during the celebration of Chinese New Year. This lion was `throwing' the oranges to the public and all would try to `fight' to get it. Look at the hands reaching out to grab the orange. For another similar shot, click here.

great shot flowsnow. love the circular movement, the composition and the feel of depth in the pic. nice to see the people in the background and love the arms and hands reaching out, a little overexposed, which gives the photograph the feel of real life, being there, full action!
well done!!
for me the orange doesn`t need to be in colour!
