I suppose I will write one long story for all the three photos.
Finally I took the initiative to dig out my old album. I found the negatives, got them scanned and now I have them in jpeg format.
The quality of the images are definitely poor, colour is a bit faded away. I suppose I could do some photo editing to them but I thought I would keep them original. After all they are about 20 years old! So what do you expect? Plus during those days in the 80s, SLRs were the only expensive cameras available. My first camera was a Yashica brand. I have always loved photography ever since I was a teenager. I bought books on photography and self taught myself by reading and through trial and error taking pictures. Using film based camera was sure an expensive hobby! Yes during those times, there were no options where one could simply take pictures as every picture cost you money, unlike now with digital cameras.
The pictures are quite old. The kids in them are probably even married by now! Almost 20 years....
I found out that there was a Children's Week Photography Competition, being passionate in photography, I entered the competition at the school level. Knowingly at the back of my mind I would definitley not win anything at all as there were millions of people out there who made better photographers than me. Anyhow....just for the fun of it. Guess what? Shortly, I received a letter from the organiser that I won certificate of merits for all three of my submissions. When I told my school principal about it she insisted to present the certificates to me on stage!
Too bad the first prize went to another student. Grin. Then I didn't even know that it was a great privilege to even receive the certificates from the State Premier (Western Australia). By the way I was the only Asian there! What more a foreign student. But I was thrilled to see the photographs all blown up exhibited for public viewing.
So here it is...no touch up, straight from the negative. Surprisingly it's still in good condition after all these years. The picture and colour is old......so don't compare it with digital photography. It's different. Remember this was taken almost 20 years ago.
