Da Lat is a resort town located at the Central Highlands of Vietnam, north east of HCM City. At 1500m above sea level, the temperatures are mild and pleasant all year round, never gets too cold or too hot (15 - 25C). We spent 3 days in Da Lat. The things I remember vividly are its blue sky, breezy clean air, relaxing atmosphere, wild flowers, pine trees, great food and friendly people. It came across to me that Vietnamese with their devotion to culinary arts were not capable of preparing any food that was not palattable. They are also artistic in nature. Whatever little resources they have, they have the ability to decorate their drillings and shops in delightful colors and ambience. All in all, the sceneries are not the most spectacular we have seen, but pleasing to the senses. The hospitality staff may run short in sophistication, but made up by trying very hard. The whole experience of our stay was satisfing and relaxing and we gave it nearly a five-star rating and it is a place we would definitively return! And we were delighted that tourist activities have not killed the originality of the place!
