One of my hobbies is building speaker cabinets. I've been doing this for about 40 years. I started this hobby because I couldn't afford good speakers, but I could afford good drivers, and could build the boxes myself. After building a set, I would usually sell them to get more money to buy better drivers, and build a better set.

Now I can afford to buy or build anything, but I still have never bought pre-built speaker boxs, except for computer speakers, if that counts...

Now most of the speakers I build are pro-sound quality.
