Our Central Business District

La Veta, CO

During the summer months large numbers of tourists descend on La Veta. Most of them will stop in at Charlie's Cash & Carry for ice cream.

Saturdays like this one are especially busy with special events occurring all over town. For instance, this weekend the Rotary held a potluck in the park, renowned Chilean photographers Hernand Pereira and Pamela Daza arrived on the Alamosa excursion for a talk at Fort Francisco, the Players are doing "A Phoenix Too Frequent", the bakery is more crowded than ever and over in Walsenburg the Junk Yard Run is on.

What more could you ask?

I love the lighting and color and "soft" look to your shot, Larry. A beautiful place.

This area of town has that old-time feeling. Likely a pleaseant part of town for a stroll.
